About Me

I’m Matthew Woonteiler (aka Woony), an ACE-certified Personal Trainer with 21+ years of experience at major fitness centers and now as owner of Woony’s Workouts. Based in Norwood, Mass., Woony’s Workouts provides a full range of customized and affordable fitness services throughout the Boston area and beyond. I train clients with different needs and at different stages of life…from young athletes recovering from injuries to young-at-heart seniors who need to keep moving. 

Since I can remember, I’ve been passionate about fitness and have cared about the well-being of people close to me.  Through personal training, a have an opportunity to help people become the best versions of themselves.

My workouts are built on trust and take place in safe and supportive environments. Each program and each session is tailored to meet immediate needs and enhance long-term quality of life.  Every program is different because every individual is different—but my goal is to optimize your success through a time-tested approach that is flexible, impactful, and enjoyable!

We can all agree that exercise is critical to your health—yet people usually aren’t motivated to start and maintain a program. They often assume that working out will be a “pain.” Rather, workouts should be rewarding and something to look forward to.

      It’s Time to ACT

      At Woony’s Workouts, we have developed a distinct, simple, three-part process called ACT to help you reach your goals: Assess. Customize. Train.

      Assess

      The first step is to assess your situation with our evaluation of your existing condition, needs, and goals.

      Customize

      Based on this assessment, I will then customize a program that addresses your objectives; this includes stretching, cardio, weight conditioning, and other techniques, as well as lifestyle recommendations as appropriate.

      Train

      Of course, the heart of Woony’s Workouts is the actual training…often, two or three times a week on an ongoing basis. Part of the process involves program adjustments on the fly (for backaches, etc.), or longer-term refinements in response to changing goals.
